Local Records On Microfilm:
An inventory of microfilmed county records is available for purchase. Individual reels may also be purchased. Earliest records include:

Marriages from 1780; wills from 1800; county court minutes from 1783; inventories of estates from 1828; and deeds from 1785. The following are available on interlibrary loan: marriage records 1780-1888 (2 reels); inventories 1828-1872 (2 reels); estate settlements 1802-1880 (3 reels); account of insolvent estates 1853-1901 (1 reel); and deed index 1785-1871 (1 reel).

The following reels of microfilm can be borrowed on interlibrary loan from the Tennessee State Library & Archives. The loan period is two weeks, and borrowers are limited to five reels of film. Loans are made to a public or academic libraries for use on their premises only. There are no loan fees, but the borrower may be responsible for return postage. Please refer to the county name and roll number when making a loan request. Many more county records are available on microfilm at the Archives, and copies of rolls may be purchased for $15 each.
