BillPGrass@aol.com Bill PendergrassWed Jul 2 03:51:21 1997 KISER I am looking for early records or references to Alford Douglas Kiser (b.11/6/59-d.7/7/03) and Alpha Elizabeth Cochran Kiser (b.7/26/56- d.10/11/39). Interested in knowing who their parents and grandparents were and where they came from in the US. I would like any information possible on the family of George W. Kirk b.1837 in Greene Co., Tenn d.1912 California. catkinsn@ecity.net Carolyn Leverich AtkinsonSat Jul 12 1997 KNIGHT/PRIGMORE(PRIDMORE,PRIDEMORE) I have the REV War Papers of James KNIGHT SR who married Margaret PRIGMORE/PRIDMORE/PRIDEMORE. Papers and Bible records show them as marrying April 5, 1790. I would greatly appreciate ideas of where I should start looking? I have a bit of his moving history from his Rev War Papers: 1. Moved to Greene Co, TN from Bedford Co, PA in Oct 1788, MARRIED April 5, 1790, Greene Co, TN and lived in Greene Co 3/4 years(ABT 1793/94?) after marrying, then... 2. Moved to Knox Co, TN and after 2/3 years, he then .... 3. Moved to Blount Co, TN and lived there 19 years, and he then ..... 4. Moved to Washington Co, IN and lived there 2/3 years, and then ..... 5. Moved to Edgar Co, IL and is on Crawford Co, IL list as of May 11, 1818, and died Feb 3, 1838. If you compare these timeframes, you will notice that there are glaring errors in the timeframes. His son James KNIGHT JR b 1800 so they had to be in Knox Co,TN by then, and he was in Edgar Co, IL in May 11, 1818 so between 1800 and 1818 he lived most of this time in Blount Co, TN then onto Washington Co, IN briefly before Edgar Co, IL.--BUT this gives me places he lived to research, now how lucky can you get there?? I come thru his son James KNIGHT JR who was b Oct 30, 1800 in Knox Co, TN and who married Cinthiannia D(ow) TAYLOR in Edgar Co, IL. James SR and Margaret had 9 children, all of whom are given in the pension papers along with their marriages and some of their grandchildren. I do not know where in Greene Co, TN he lived, as I am just starting this research. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated on the start up of my research for this county. Would anyone have the time frames of Greene Co, TN changes? Thank you. wbmoore@ticfin.com Wilma Moore Thu Jul 17 1997 LOVELADY I am researching the entire LOVELADY surname.
