RICKER, JENNINGS, NAULTY, HEMPEL
I have been working on a murder mystery in my family for several years now, and thanks to this forum, I have found the people involved in this case...Thomas Greely JENNINGS and his brother {?}, Marshall JENNINGS were killed in the Cove Area of Greene County in the late 1800's. cir. 1895. Two of their first cousins, William RICKER and D.F. RICKER killed them. Thanks to Sherry HEMPEL, who saw my question on this forum and reconized what I was talking about, and wrote to me, and called me to tell me about the Indictment papers on them. The Indictment Papers were dated, Oct. 7, 1896. Now for my question...there was a woman that was also indicted with them, Hester NAULTY...Does anyone have any knowledge of who Hester NAULTY was, and what part she played in this murder for her to also be indicted. Does anyone know if these three were sent to prison for this? All four men involved, Thomas JENNINGS, Marshall JENNINGS, William RICKER, and D.F. RICKER were 1st cousins of both of my grandfather's, RICKER/ WADDELL.

WOODS
Searching for the ancestors of and other background on my great grandparents Jim Woods and Barbara Fox Woods. My grandfather (their son) Lee Roy Woods, was born in Greeneville TN (Greene County) on 2-28-1878. My mother found some notes that "Jim" was born in 1850. If this holds, then according to one internet entry, Jim is probably James M. Woods and the site indicates he had siblings as follows:
Brothers:
John B. (b.1845 TN)
William Ivan (b. 30 July 1849 TN) (d. 5 Feb 1935, E. Prairie, Mississippi County, MO) m. 1. Phoebe Louise Stone 2. Kitty Mandrell
Sisters:
Louisa J. (b.1847 TN)
Nancy E. (b. 1852)
Cerilda A. (b. 1854)
Again according to my preliminary work, if this Jim is the right one (and I suspect it well could be because Ivan is a family name - my father - Lee Roy's son - being Ivan Francis Woods) their parents would have been William M. Woods (b.1821 in TN) and Louisa J. (maiden name unknown) (b. Sept, 1818 in NC).
