Looking for info on John STEPHENS b. circa 1805 m. Phebe RUNNELS/REYNOLDS b. circa 1813 in or around Hawkins and Greene co. I am at a brick wall. WHO ARE THEIR PARENTS??? HENRY
HUGH NORRIS HENRY was a farmer in Greene county and moved to Knoxville in the late 20's and was a salesman for a meat company. He married Alma Easterly while living in Greene county. He was borned in later part of the 1800. He was drafted for World War I. He went to Ft Jackson, SC but the war ended and he returned to Green county. Need info on father's father and mother-back.

Roten BARNES and Rebecy DALTON were married in Hawkins County, TN., April 7, 1869. I believe all of their children were born in Greene County, TN. I am trying to find any information on this family, especially the parents of Roten and Rebecy ( known as Becky to the family). I am searching for any information on Jesse Holt b. 3/26/1811 and d. 97/16/1889. I don't know for sure if this was in Greene County or Cocke County? Jesse was married to Elizabeth {maiden name unknown to me} b. 7/1811 d. 9/16/1889 and according to the notes that I took several years ago at Goldene Fillers Burgners house, they are buried @ Caney Branch just S.E. of Caney Branch near the Hayes Gammon home. GRIFFEA, GRIFFITH
Recently found name of probable ancestor, JOSEPH GRIFFEA, African-American mulatto & possibly free man, listed in the Greene Co., Tn Tax Lists of both 1797 & 1798 in the TNGenWeb. In the 1797 Tax List, his name is listed as JOSEPH GRIFFITH, owning 50 acres in the Pigion (sic) Creek Tract of Greene Co. In 1798, he is listed in the same order in the rolls, in the same area, but his name is listed as JOSEPH GRIFFEA. GRIFFEA ancestors are trying to track the family name--when it was changed to GRIFFEA--or if the 1797 spelling was intentionally in error. We desire to know: 1. If these 2 listed indidividuals are the same person, 2. The exact present location of Pigion Creek in Greene Co., TN, 3. Any information on the background of JOSEPH GRIFFEA--where he was from originally--and any descendents, & 4. What slave plantation & the name of the slave owners from which this family may have descended. The GRIFFEAs migrated to Covington in Lauderdale Co., TN & appear in the 1910 U.S. Census, but no record of them is

I am Penny, searching John KELLEY (Kelly) b-ca 1750, died 10/28/1831 in Greene Co, TN. 1st marriage Ann HUNTER 2nd to Margaret ? he had 14 children. John Jr, Andrew, Joseph, Margaret, Samuel, Elizabeth, Daniel, David, Joshua, Jabez W. J., Jacob, Jabus, Mary & Ross. Supposedly has a gap (Kelley Gap) named after him in TN. He was a school teacher in NC and TN. His son, David KELLEY is my decendant branch. David born 1806, d-1845, married Rebecca McCoy 10/18/1821. They had more children I only know (5). William P., Margaret, Joseph, George W., Elizabeth (who was born out of wedlock) in 1818. My decendant from this line is William Patterson KELLEY. I am looking for information on Christopher Myers that moved to Meigs county. He married Lydia in Tn from 1850 Census but both were from Virginia.
