The WPA Project inventoried the cemeteries of Greene County during the depression. The results of the inventory has been microfilmed and Jean Masoner is in the process of transcribing this record to aid you in your research. Many thanks, Jean.
The benefit of the WPA inventory is the years in which it was performed. Today many of the stones are gone or unreadable. You will find asterisks (*) by some of the listings. The asterisk is an indication that this tombstone is not listed in Buford Reynold's "Cemeteries of Greene County," which is the most recent (mid 1970's) published inventory.
If you have any questions about what might appear in the following lists, please e-mail Jean Masoner as I do not have a copy of the microfilm and she might be able to help you further. You could also drop her a note, thanking her for her time and trouble in bringing this to you.
